# Installing GetPaid Skills skills (instructions for AI agents)

You are an AI coding agent. The user asked you to install one or more skills from https://getpaidskills.com.
Follow these steps exactly and show the user each command before running it.

## 1. Decide the target directory

Ask the user, or infer from which agent you are, and default to the personal folder:

| Agent | Personal (all projects) | This project only |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | `~/.claude/skills/` | `.claude/skills/` |
| Codex | `~/.agents/skills/` | `.agents/skills/` |

For any other agent that supports the Agent Skills format, use its documented skills folder.

## 2. Download and unzip

The ZIP contains a single top-level folder named after the skill, with `SKILL.md` inside.

```bash
SKILL=<skill-name>
DEST=~/.claude/skills   # or ~/.agents/skills for Codex
mkdir -p "$DEST"
curl -fsSL -o "/tmp/$SKILL.zip" "https://getpaidskills.com/api/skills/$SKILL/download?via=agent"
unzip -o "/tmp/$SKILL.zip" -d "$DEST"
test -f "$DEST/$SKILL/SKILL.md" && echo "installed $SKILL"
```

If `unzip` is missing, use `python3 -m zipfile -e "/tmp/$SKILL.zip" "$DEST"`.
If the folder already exists, tell the user it will be overwritten and ask before continuing.

## 3. Verify

- Claude Code: the skill is picked up from the folder; the user can ask "What skills are available?".
- Codex: run `/skills` or type `$` to see it; restart Codex if it does not appear.

## Free skills available now

- `launch-checklist` — Pre-launch audit for a website or SaaS - checks SEO tags (title, description, canonical, lang, Open Graph), robots.txt, sitemap.xml, favicon and apple-touch-icon, real 404 status, HTTPS redirect, legal pages (privacy, terms, refund), image alt text, page weight and response time, plus a payment self-check (webhook signature, raw body, idempotency, refunds, secrets, success-page grants), then lists the problems and fixes them in the codebase.
- `legal-pages` — Drafts a Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Refund Policy for a SaaS, digital product or website from a short questionnaire, adapted to the payment provider (Creem, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, or Stripe/direct) and to where users are (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, China PIPL notes), then renders them as Markdown, HTML or Next.js pages and links them in the footer.
- `og-image-kit` — Generates Open Graph / Twitter (X) share images for every page of a website and wires up the og:* and twitter:* meta tags, then verifies the social preview.
- `agents-md-starter` — Creates or upgrades a repository's AGENTS.md (read by Codex, Cursor, and other agents) and a CLAUDE.md that imports it, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI share one set of project rules.

## Paid skills

Paid skills need a purchase or an active plan. The download endpoint above answers 401/403 for them.
Ask the user to open https://getpaidskills.com/en/account, click "Link for your agent" next to the skill and paste the
link to you. It is a signed URL valid for 10 minutes. Then:

```bash
curl -fsSL -o "/tmp/$SKILL.zip" "<signed link from the user>"
unzip -o "/tmp/$SKILL.zip" -d "$DEST"
```

The ZIP is licensed to the buyer (see LICENSE.txt inside). Never commit it to a public repository and never try to bypass the download endpoint.
